Deze bijzonder fraaie Saab 99 GL - voor Grand Luxe - haalden wij op uit de omgeving van Berlijn, waar de auto nieuw werd verkocht en tot voor kort verbleef. De tellerstand bedraagt na 43 jaar nog geen 74.000 kilometer en dat is aan de Saab te zien. Het zilvergrijze lakwerk is strak, waarbij de tand des tijds maar weinig heeft toegeslagen. De bekleding is gaaf en onder de kap toont de Saab alsof hij weinig geleden heeft. De onverwoestbare tweeliter caburateurmotor slaat direct aan en loopt prachtig - zoals Saab het ooit bedoeld had. Het hemeltje is strak en op de relatief moderne Blaupunkt speakers na is het interieur nog net zoals het in de folder uit 1983 te vinden is. In deze staat en met deze kilometerstand is een dergelijke Saab vrijwel niet meer te vinden. De Saab is uitgerust met de gewilde lange overbrenging met 5 versnellingen, waardoor hij op de snelweg weinig toeren maakt en het benzineverbruik gereduceerd wordt. Fijn juist in deze tijd! Bovendien is de Saab voorzien van fraaie Silver Spoke velgen, een originele Saab-accessoire uit de tijd, en metallic lak. Een Saab in zijn basisvorm zonder opsmuk, maar wel in precies de juiste basisuitvoering. Wij hebben de auto de afgelopen tijd technisch helemaal in orde gebracht - de auto wordt dan ook afgeleverd met een grote beurt en APK-klaar. Gereed voor een nieuwe start in handen van een nieuwe eigenaar. Desgewenst verzorgen wij een Nederlands kenteken of assisteren wij bij export. We picked up this particularly beautiful Saab 99 GL – for Grand Luxe – from the Berlin area, where the car was originally sold new and stayed until recently. After 43 years, the odometer shows less than 74,000 kilometers, which is evident from the condition of the Saab. The silver-grey paintwork is smooth, showing very little wear over time. The upholstery is very clean, and under the hood, the Saab looks like it has not been used a lot. The indestructible 2-liter carburetor engine starts immediately and runs beautifully – just as Saab intended. The headliner is tight, and except for the relatively modern Blaupunkt speakers, the interior is still exactly like it was in the 1983 brochure. In this condition and with this mileage, a Saab like this is almost impossible to find nowadays. The Saab is equipped with the sought-after long 5-speed gearing, which keeps revs low on the highway and reduces fuel consumption. Perfect, especially these days! In addition, the Saab comes with beautiful Silver Spoke wheels, an original Saab accessory from back in the day, and metallic paint. A Saab in its basic form without frills, but exactly in the right base specification. We’ve recently made sure the car is in excellent technical condition – it will be delivered with a full service and ready for inspection. Ready for a fresh start with a new owner.
