Prima rijdende Triumph TR4 uit 1964. Ruim 10 jaar in mijn bezit en met veel plezier veel oldtimer ritten mee gedaan. Maar het is tijd voor wat anders dus deze mag weg. Motorisch is de auto prima. In 10 jaar maar 1 keer niet gestart want startmotor was kapot dus vervangen door een sterkere nieuwe startmotor. En nieuwe koppeling erin gezet. Verder is het altijd starten lopen en rijden met veel plezier. Versnellingsbak schakelt super en nooit wat mee gehad. Het lakwerk en bumpers hebben patina. Je krijgt nog steeds opgestoken duimen maar je ziet wel wat roest sporen. Oppervlakte roest want de auto is verder keihard. Je hoeft aan deze auto niets te lassen of plaatwerk. Het interieur is heel netjes en misschien wel origineel. De stoelen zijn ingezakt maar daarom kon ik met mijn 1.97 lengte er in zitten. Je zou nieuwe zitkussens erin kunnen zetten. De auto rijdt zeer soepel. Veel trekkracht onderin en een prachtig geluid. Als je een bericht stuurt kan ik een filmpje doorsturen. De auto staat in Giethoorn. A great-driving 1964 Triumph TR4. I have owned it for over 10 years and have thoroughly enjoyed taking it on many classic car outings. It is time for something new, so it is now available for a new owner. Mechanically, the car is in excellent condition. In 10 years, it only failed to start once—due to a faulty starter motor, which I replaced with a more powerful new one. I also installed a new clutch. Otherwise, it starts, runs, and drives perfectly every time. The gearbox shifts beautifully and has never given me any trouble. All oils, including the differential oil, were recently changed. The paintwork and bumpers show a bit of patina. You still get plenty of "thumbs up" from people, though there are some signs of surface rust—it is strictly surface-level, as the car’s body is otherwise rock-solid. There is no welding or bodywork required. The interior is very tidy and may even be original. The seats have sagged, which actually allowed me—at 1.97m (6'6") tall—to fit comfortably inside; you could easily install new seat cushions if desired. The wooden dashboard is in beautiful, undamaged condition. A vinyl roof is included, though since the car has always been kept indoors, I’ve only used the roof a handful of times over the last decade. The car drives very smoothly, with plenty of low-end torque and a wonderful sound. The "Primrose Yellow" exterior paired with a cognac-colored interior is a truly striking combination.
