JAGUAR MK 2 3.8 1961 - Full restoration on invoice - Excellent condition - Warranty Specifications: Inline 6-cylinder engine - 3,781 cc - 210 hp SAE - 22 fiscal hp (CV) 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive Champagne Metallic exterior - Bordeaux Connolly leather interior First registered: 30/06/1961 Mileage: 3,465 km VIN: P213571BW History: This Mark 2 is in exceptional overall condition. It has undergone a complete mechanical and bodywork restoration. Significant expense went into the initial restoration carried out in 2019/2020 (more than 400 hours of labor were required for this first stage). This restoration has been continued over the past two years by the current owner, for more than €10,000. This car is in superb exterior condition. The bodywork has been completely redone, as shown in the extensive photo set. All traces of rust have been eliminated; body panels requiring it have been treated or replaced. The car presents very well in its new "Champagne Metallic" color, a high-quality paint replacing the original blue. The wheels are in near-new condition, and the chrome trim is gleaming. The headlights are clean and clear. The glass is likewise clean, and all badges are present. The cabin is in very well-preserved condition, and the bordeaux red leather upholstery provides a comfortable seat. The leather is perfectly taut. The various elm burr wood trim pieces on the dashboard and doors are in excellent condition, as are the two fold-down picnic tables on the backs of the front seats. The Moto-Lita wood steering wheel is likewise in very good condition. The dashboard gauges are clean and functional, and the radio works perfectly. The carpets also present very well. In addition to the major mechanical restoration carried out in 2020, the engine was replaced on an exchange basis in 2025. The new 3.8 block, entirely identical to the original model but dating from 1963, underwent a complete overhaul, as extensively documented in the photo set. A new radiator, a new steering box, and new suspension springs were also installed last year. The car starts and runs beautifully. It idles well, revs freely, and delivers its full power. The gearbox shifts correctly, as does the overdrive, with no knocking or abnormal noise to report. The hydraulic disc brake system is very good, and the car handles soundly. The stainless steel exhaust produces a magnificent sound. The underbody of this car is sound and free of any corrosion, having been completely redone during the restoration, as shown in the extensive photo set. This example was appraised in February 2022 at a value of €65,000. 🔩 Recent work: 2019 - 2026 - More than €22,000: Engine exchange;Radiator replacement;Steering box replacement;Suspension springs replacement;Starter motor replacement;Gearbox overhaul;Differential overhaul. 📃 Options & Equipment (non-exhaustive list): Overdrive;Elm burr wood trim;Connolly leather upholstery;Chromed wire wheels;Moto-Lita wood steering wheel;Philips radio.
