DEFECTS & WORK NEEDED I prefer to be fully transparent about everything that needs attention: • Gearbox: 2nd gear tends to pop out under heavy load. • Suspension/Drivetrain: Control arm bushings (silent blocks) and the driveshaft support bearing need checking/replacement. • Handbrake: Cable mounting/adjustment needs to be finalized. • Driver’s window: The mechanism is brand new, but the window guides need adjustment. • Steering wheel: Sports steering wheel installed without a slip ring/contact ring — horn is currently non-functional. • Brakes: Stock braking system. • Paperwork: The M54B30 engine does not match the engine number listed in the registration documents. • Bodywork: Overall solid frame/chassis, but shows normal signs of use and minor age-related cosmetic defects. THE PROJECT This is not a factory-stock E36, nor is it sold as a pristine show car. It is a project built over several years for personal use, heavily focused on mechanical performance and driving dynamics.
