Trade-In possible. The 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V represents one of the most iconic generations of Mitsubishi's legendary rally-bred performance cars. Developed directly from Mitsubishi's World Rally Championship programme, the Evolution combined advanced four-wheel-drive technology, a powerful turbocharged engine and aggressive yet functional engineering into one of the defining Japanese performance cars of the 1990s. The Evolution V introduced a significant development over its predecessors, with wider bodywork, revised suspension and an evolved four-wheel-drive system. Together with its distinctive styling and formidable performance, it quickly established itself as one of the most desirable generations of the Lancer Evolution. This particular example is an original Japanese-market car, subsequently converted to left-hand drive. The conversion allows the car to be enjoyed in a European driving environment while retaining its Japanese-market origin and character. The car is presented in very clean condition and has been carefully upgraded in selected areas while retaining the distinctive character and appearance of the Evolution V. The exhaust system has been modified and is legally registered. The modification is not only documented in the vehicle's registration, but the car has also been tested on a dynamometer, demonstrating that it produces more power than the original factory specification. The suspension has also been completely upgraded to a Bilstein setup. This modification is likewise registered and provides the car with an upgraded suspension configuration while maintaining the performance-oriented character of the Evolution V. The wheels are not the original factory wheels. The original wheels are unfortunately no longer available with the vehicle. The exterior displays the unmistakable Evolution V design, including its wider bodywork, pronounced wheel arches, aggressive front end, rear spoiler and purposeful stance. Every element of the design has a clear functional connection to the car's performance and rally heritage. The interior retains the characteristic driver-focused character of the Lancer Evolution. The dashboard, instrumentation and sporting layout create an authentic late-1990s Japanese performance-car atmosphere. At the heart of the Evolution V is Mitsubishi's legendary turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, coupled with a manual transmission and sophisticated all-wheel-drive system. Together with the registered exhaust modification and Bilstein suspension, the car offers an enhanced specification compared with a completely standard Evolution V. Developed with extensive input from Mitsubishi's rally programme, the Evolution combined compact dimensions with advanced four-wheel-drive technology and a powerful turbocharged engine. The fifth-generation Evolution marked another significant step in the model's development. The wider body, revised suspension and increasingly sophisticated drivetrain gave the Evolution V an even more purposeful character while maintaining the fundamental philosophy of the series. This 1998 example is particularly interesting as an original Japanese-market car that has been converted to left-hand drive. Its current configuration makes it particularly suited to European use, while retaining the character and provenance of a Japanese-market Evolution V. The car has been upgraded in selected technical areas. The exhaust system has been modified and is registered accordingly. A dynamometer test has documented that the vehicle produces more power than the original factory specification. The suspension has been completely changed to a Bilstein setup, which is also registered. This provides the car with an upgraded suspension configuration while remaining in keeping with the performance-focused nature of the Evolution V. The wheels are not original factory items. The original wheels are unfortunately no longer available. These modifications mean that this Evolution V should not be considered a completely original or factory-standard example. Instead, it represents a carefully specified and documented example with selected performance-oriented upgrades, while retaining the distinctive appearance, mechanical character and heritage of the Evolution V. The combination of Japanese provenance, left-hand-drive configuration, documented modifications, increased dynamometer-tested power and Bilstein suspension makes this an interesting example for enthusiasts of Japanese performance cars and the golden era of 1990s rally-bred automobiles. A very clean 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V, originally from Japan and converted to left-hand drive, featuring a registered exhaust modification, documented increased power on a dynamometer test and a completely upgraded, registered Bilstein suspension setup.
