Of the Porsche 993, the Targa is by far the rarest body style ever produced. Barely 4,581 were built between 1996 and 1998. This makes the Targa an even rarer model than for example the Carrera 4S. What makes this 993 Targa special is its very low mileage, just 53,800 km, and its fine options, such as the dark blue, comfortable Soft Ruffled Leather (option 982) and the Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM). The car is exceptionally well documented. The original service booklet with the Porsche stamps is present, as are various official certificates and numerous invoices. The car was serviced exclusively by Porsche Classic Zurich in Switzerland, and the mileage and history can be traced year by year. The Porsche 993 Targa combines the sporty driving experience of a Coupé with the wonderful, light-filled experience of a Cabriolet. This Porsche 993 was delivered in November 1996 in Miami, Florida, to its first owner, who kept the car for 10 years before selling it to its second owner in 2008. These two periods are fully documented by its original Carfax report, which confirms the mileage and the servicing carried out, as well as the fact that the car is accident-free. In early 2011, the car was sold to its most recent owner in Switzerland. He had the car serviced with Swiss precision, exclusively at Porsche Classic Zurich. The mileage indicates that the car has not been left unused for long periods and has been driven annually. Various wear-and-tear parts have always been replaced in good time; the clutch, power steering pump and the four shock absorbers have also been replaced. The Targa roof operates very smoothly and the paintwork is in excellent condition. No work on the car is foreseeable in the foreseeable future. The car has the stunning Cup alloy wheels with a coloured Porsche logo, which were available as an option on the 993 Targa.
