Fiberglass body, bonded aluminum chassis, and a Toyota engine mounted in a mid-rear position: the formula is above all aimed at lightness. This coupe carved out a special place among the sports cars of the 2000s, thanks to a power-to-weight ratio that remains a benchmark. This example was born in the United Kingdom: first registered on 21 April 2006, first after-sales service on 11 May 2006 in East Sussex. It was then imported to Sweden, where it was tuned in 2018-2019, then to France, where it has been registered since 22 April 2022. Its current owner is the third. This Exige has seen very little track use. During its time in Sweden, this Exige was the subject of a tuning program (Komo-Tec turbo kit, GT3 intercooler, bucket seats and harnesses, exhaust line and diffuser). Condition: This Lotus Exige S2 is presented in a very track-oriented configuration. The bodywork is finished in white. The roof and rear spoiler are carbon. The wheels are black. Apart from two slight marks on the door and the front end, the bodywork is in excellent condition. The headlights and mirrors are in good condition. The rear is fitted with a carbon Reverie diffuser. The cabin has been fully prepared. The Reverie carbon bucket seats are fitted with Schroth 4-point harnesses. Neither of these items is original. The door panels and center console are trimmed in carbon. The steering wheel is wrapped in Alcantara. A roll cage is fitted in the cabin. The Toyota 4-cylinder engine is fitted with a Komo-Tec supercharging kit, with a Lotus GT3 air/water intercooler. The gearbox was made more reliable, for an invoice of EUR 7,000. The exhaust line is not original. The factory exhaust will be supplied with the sale. Gears shift without a hitch and the car's handling is sound.
