La BMW M635 CSi a marqué un tournant dans l'histoire de BMW Motorsport. Présentée en 1984, elle transpose au prestigieux coupé Série 6 la technologie développée pour la légendaire BMW M1. Sous son long capot prend place le mythique six cylindres en ligne M88/3 de 3.453 cm³ à 24 soupapes, développant 286 ch. Associé exclusivement à une boîte manuelle à cinq rapports et à une propulsion parfaitement équilibrée, il offre des performances qui plaçaient la M635 CSi parmi les GT les plus rapides et les plus raffinées de son époque. En 2004, la voiture a fait l'objet d'une restauration particulièrement soignée de sa carrosserie. Les travaux, documentés par un dossier photographique, témoignent du sérieux de l'intervention. Plus de vingt ans plus tard, la qualité de cette rénovation demeure : la carrosserie ne présente aujourd'hui aucun défaut notable. Geïntroduceerd in 1984 bracht hij de technologie van de legendarische BMW M1 naar de prestigieuze 6 Reeks Coupé. Onder de lange motorkap ligt de mythische M88/3-zescilinder-in-lijn van 3.453 cm³ met 24 kleppen, goed voor 286 pk. Exclusief gekoppeld aan een handgeschakelde vijfversnellingsbak en een perfect uitgebalanceerde achterwielaandrijving leverde hij prestaties waarmee de M635 CSi tot de snelste en meest verfijnde GT's van zijn tijd behoorde. In 2004 werd de carrosserie van de wagen met uitzonderlijke zorg gerestaureerd. De werkzaamheden zijn gedocumenteerd met een uitgebreid fotodossier, dat de kwaliteit en ernst van de restauratie onderstreept. Meer dan twintig jaar later is het resultaat nog steeds indrukwekkend: de carrosserie vertoont vandaag geen noemenswaardige gebreken. Sinds 2016 maakt deze M635 CSi deel uit van een privécollectie, waar hij steeds met de grootste zorg werd onderhouden. Elke inspectie is welkom. Paired exclusively with a five-speed manual gearbox and a perfectly balanced rear-wheel-drive layout, it delivered performance that made the M635 CSi one of the fastest and most refined grand tourers of its era. In 2004, the car underwent a particularly meticulous body restoration. The work is documented by an extensive photographic record, reflecting the high standard of the restoration. More than twenty years later, the quality of this refurbishment remains evident: the bodywork is still free from any notable defects. Since 2016, this M635 CSi has been part of a private collection, where it has always been maintained with the utmost care. All inspections are welcome.
