The G320 CDI Cabriolet has a 3.0 litre V6 turbodiesel with 224 ps and 540 Nm, the latter already available from 1,600 rpm. The seven speed automatic and the permanent all wheel drive with three locking differentials are the same as in the closed G. The Cabriolet has always been the rarest body style of the G-Class. The electric fabric roof disappears completely behind the rear bench, and underneath sits the short wheelbase, which makes it more manoeuvrable off road than the long version. Fun fact: Mercedes is bringing the G-Class Cabriolet back, but the new version sits on the long four door G63 body. That leaves this generation as the last open G on the short wheelbase.
