Jaguar E-Type prima serie 3.8 del 1961, non “flat floor”, completamente restaurata e modificata nel 1997 dall’attuale proprietario. La vettura presenta alcune modifiche rispetto alla configurazione originale, realizzate con impostazione sportiva. La carrozzeria è stata modificata con allargamento dei passaruota posteriori ed è equipaggiata con cerchi in lega e pneumatici di misure differenziate 205/60 R15 e 215/60 R15. Il motore conserva la configurazione originale ad eccezione dei carburatori Weber DC; insieme alla vettura vengono forniti anche i carburatori SU originali. Cofano e porte sono in vetroresina, con finestrini laterali in Lexan. La vettura è inoltre dotata di ammortizzatori Bilstein nuovi, roll bar posteriore e dischi freno anteriori autoventilati. L’auto appartiene alla stessa famiglia da quasi 30 anni ed è sempre stata utilizzata su strada. Nel corso di questo periodo non ha subito incidenti né guasti meccanici di particolare rilievo. Meccanica, ciclistica e telaio sono perfettamente sani. La carrozzeria è stata riverniciata nel 1997 e si presenta tuttora in buone condizioni. Vettura visibile a Pero (MI), Italia. The car has been upgraded with a number of period-style sporting modifications. The rear wheel arches have been widened, and the car is fitted with alloy wheels and staggered tyre sizes of 205/60 R15 at the front and 215/60 R15 at the rear. The engine remains largely to original specification, with Weber DC carburettors being the only modification. The original SU carburettors are included with the sale. The bonnet and doors are made from fibreglass, while the side windows are Lexan. Other upgrades include new Bilstein shock absorbers, a rear roll bar and ventilated front brake discs. The car has remained within the same family for almost 30 years and has been used regularly on the road. During this ownership, it has not been involved in any accidents and has suffered no major mechanical failures. The chassis, suspension and mechanical components are all in very sound condition. The bodywork was repainted in 1997 and remains in good overall condition. A distinctive and engaging E-Type with long-term family ownership, well suited to an enthusiast looking for a properly sorted Series 1 with sporting upgrades rather than a concours-original example.
