A rare opportunity to acquire a petrol-powered Citroën C6 V6 with a low, fully documented mileage — a particularly desirable combination for collectors and enthusiasts looking for one of the finest examples of Citroën’s final flagship hydropneumatic models. This example is the petrol V6 version producing 211 HP, paired with the classic torque-converter 6-speed automatic transmission. The PSA ES9 engine is one of the final evolutions of this V6 family. Interestingly, the same engine architecture was also used within the Renault Group under the L7X designation, including in the legendary Renault Clio V6. Why is this particular C6 special? The car is finished in Gris Aluminium, combined with Cuir Claudia Mistral interior. In every detail, it looks remarkably close to the cars presented in the original period brochures. The exterior colour is particularly attractive and considerably rarer than the black colours that dominated C6 production. The car has a low and fully documented mileage of 132,000 km, with a complete service book and a Swiss history with a single owner. It is accident-free and collision-free, retaining its original factory paintwork. The car was imported from Switzerland directly from its first owner, with no accident or insurance damage whatsoever, specifically for collection purposes. Major mechanical service completed in Poland After arriving in Poland, the C6 underwent an extensive major service at two specialist workshops, with the total cost exceeding PLN 25,000 (ca. €6500). The work included, among other things: sealing work typical for this engine family, * a complete service of the Hydractive 3+ hydropneumatic suspension, * two complete oil services, including the hydraulic system, * replacement of suspension rubber/metal components, * spheres, * pressure sensors, * control valves, * repair of the AFIL lane-departure warning system, * and other necessary maintenance work. Full details of the work, together with maintenance and operating recommendations, will be provided personally to the new owner. The car now drives exactly as a properly maintained C6 should. The Hydractive 3+ suspension together with the AMVAR system operates perfectly, delivering the exceptionally smooth ride these cars were designed to provide. Original specification and equipment The car has been fitted with a set of original factory 18-inch Roccastrada wheels, professionally refurbished in the correct Diamond Cut finish. They are fitted with new Michelin Primacy 5 tyres, with the appropriate soft sidewall specification for the C6. Tyre production date: DOT 09/26. The bodywork shows very minimal signs of use, significantly below what would normally be expected from a C6 of this age. The exterior trim is complete and original, with no modifications or deviations from the factory specification. The directional headlights, which are particularly prone to yellowing and becoming cloudy on heavily used C6 examples, are in excellent condition. They have additionally been protected with PPF film. The active rear aerodynamics are fully operational. The rear spoiler deploys in both stages at the factory-specified speeds and also operates correctly during braking. Interior The interior has been exceptionally well preserved. It is complete and fully functional. The buttons are not sticky, and none of the interior elements show the typical peeling of the soft-touch coating. The storage compartments around the centre console are in particularly excellent condition. The headliner is original and remains properly attached. The seats and other leather elements have never been repainted or cosmetically refurbished. The rear bench appears to have seen very little, if any, use. The car retains its factory JBL sound system, Polish-language vehicle menu, fully operational Head-Up Display (HUD) and other original equipment. A collector’s C6 This C6 was purchased specifically as the final piece of a collection of large hydropneumatic Citroëns. It has never been used as a daily driver, and therefore I have no meaningful information about its average fuel consumption. The car is now fully ready to be enjoyed. Nevertheless, I would particularly recommend it as a valuable addition to a serious collection, especially a Citroën-themed collection. The C6 represents one of the final and most sophisticated expressions of Citroën’s traditional engineering philosophy — a true flagship combining the brand’s advanced hydropneumatic suspension, unconventional design and exceptional long-distance comfort. It is also the final chapter in the history of Citroën’s large flagship hydropneumatic cars. This is therefore a car for a knowledgeable enthusiast or collector, looking for a properly serviced, original and ready-to-enjoy example rather than a project requiring years of work. It also represents a very attractive proposition compared with comparable European-market examples, particularly considering the high excise taxation that can still apply to such cars in several European markets.
