GT3 RS on a diet This 997.2 GT3 RS perfectly captures what the RS philosophy is all about: less unnecessary equipment, less weight and maximum driving involvement. Its specification is particularly special, with a clear focus on lightweight performance: air-conditioning delete, radio delete, lightweight lithium-ion battery, Carrera GT bucket seats and PCCB carbon-ceramic brakes. Around 50 kg saved. A factory diet with hardly a gram wasted on anything that doesn’t serve a purpose — exactly how an RS should be specced. And that philosophy translates directly into the driving experience. The naturally aspirated 3.8-litre flat-six, manual gearbox and wonderfully communicative chassis deliver the kind of mechanical involvement that has become increasingly difficult to find. Every gear change, every input and every run towards 8,500 rpm reminds you why this generation of GT3 RS has become so highly regarded. The Grey Black (L7A1) finish with contrasting Guards Red details gives the car an understated yet instantly recognizable appearance. PCCB, carbon details and Porsche Custom Tailoring Zuffenhausen equipment further add to what is an unusually coherent and desirable specification. With just 20.050 km from new, this example combines remarkably low mileage with exceptional overall condition and presentation. A GT3 RS that retains everything enthusiasts value about the model, specified with a genuine focus on lightness, purity and driving pleasure.
