Since leaving the Porsche factory, the car has travelled fewer than 100 kilometres, an almost unprecedented figure for a Porsche 962 C and one that firmly places this example among the most remarkably preserved in existence. A comprehensive mechanical recommissioning was completed by a leading Porsche specialist in Germany on 29 July 2014 at a cost of 17.255€ ensuring the car's mechanical integrity while respecting its exceptional originality. An expert authentication report has been prepared by Jürgen Barth, one of Porsche's most respected competition authorities. Significantly, Mr. Barth was also the Porsche factory representative who signed the car's original factory release documentation, providing an exceptional level of provenance and historical continuity seldom encountered.
