It remains one of the favorites among classic British roadster enthusiasts today. This example was built in early June 1964 and shipped new to the United States (Jacksonville, Florida), in left-hand drive configuration, as confirmed by the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate kept in the file. Originally painted Colorado Red with black upholstery and soft top, it has since been repainted in British Racing Green. It came to France and to its current owner in March 2017, who has had it maintained and restored since then in Saint-Jean-de-Védas (34). Condition: This Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 is in excellent condition. 🚘 The bodywork, repainted in British Racing Green, is uniform and glossy. The chrome wire wheels and exterior chrome trim (bumpers, handles) are in good condition. The black soft top was replaced with a new one in 2025. The cabin is trimmed in black leatherette and is in very good condition. The wooden dashboard, steering wheel, and gear knob are very well preserved, as are the chrome accents in the cabin. ⚙️ The engine and gearbox underwent a mechanical restoration documented by photos (complete disassembly of the engine block and gearbox). The car received new HD8 carburetors, a stainless steel exhaust line, and a fast-flow intake.
