De Fiat Dino is in meerdere opzichten een zeer bijzondere auto en is eigenlijk ontstaan doordat Ferrari een V6-motor moest homologeren voor de Formule 2. Deze V6-motor kreeg de naam Dino V6-motor, ter nagedachtenis aan de zoon van Enzo Ferrari. In de jaren 60 sloot Ferrari een overeenkomst met Fiat om voldoende V6-motoren te produceren. Hiervoor werd speciaal een stijlvolle sportwagen ontworpen, die zowel als cabriolet (Spider) en als coupé werden geïntroduceerd. Het waren twee zeer verschillende auto’s, omdat de Spider door Pininfarina werd ontworpen en de coupé afkomstig was van Bertone. De Fiat Dino werd in 1966 geïntroduceerd en was in eerste instantie leverbaar met een 2.0 V6 motor. Een aantal jaren later (in 1969) werd de auto geleverd met een 2,4 liter V6 motor. Dezelfde motor werd ook gebruikt in de Ferrari Dino 246 GT. Naast een krachtigere motor, werd de nieuwe Fiat Dino 2400 ook voorzien van onafhankelijke achterwielophanging en andere technische verbeteringen. Ook de verschillende chroom- en sierdelen zijn in perfecte conditie. Het dashboard is schitterend om te zien en alle instrumenten werken naar behoren. De houtafwerkingen zijn in zeer goede staat. De stoelen zitten bijzonder comfortabel en zijn in goede staat. Het is indrukwekkend om te zien dat het originele interieur nog in zo’n perfecte conditie verkeert. Onder de motorkap ligt een schitterend 2,4 liter V6 motorblok. Het is goed te zien dat deze auto met zeer veel liefde en zorg is onderhouden. De motorruimte is in zeer verzorgde en onderhouden staat. Deze Fiat Dino 2400 Coupé rijdt en schakelt bijzonder soepel en ook de remmen voelen stevig en solide aan.
