Wat in 1952 begon als samenwerking tussen Donald Healey en BMC, groeide uit tot een van de meest iconische roadsters uit de jaren vijftig en zestig, met grote successen in de rallysport. De 3000 Mk III vormde het hoogtepunt van de reeks: meer vermogen, meer comfort en een volwaardig dashboard met walnotenhout, zonder dat het rauwe karakter verloren ging. Het hart van deze Austin-Healey uit 1965 is de 2.9 liter zescilinder lijnmotor met dubbele SU-carburateurs. De motor is gereviseerd en matching numbers, en wordt gekoppeld aan een handgeschakelde vierversnellingsbak met overdrive, ideaal voor ontspannen kilometers op de snelweg. In 2017 is de auto body-off gerestaureerd en van dat traject is een fotoreportage aanwezig, zodat u precies kunt zien welk werk er is verzet. Het tweekleurige lakwerk in Healey Blue en Ivory White is een klassieke combinatie die de golvende lijnen van de Big Healey prachtig benadrukt, met de lichte zijflanken die de lange motorkap en de krachtige achterspatborden extra laten spreken. Gespoten spaakwielen, de chromen ovale grille, de karakteristieke bumperhoorns, de chromen luchtinlaat op de motorkap en de dubbele uitlaat maken het beeld compleet. De donkerblauwe soft top sluit naadloos aan op het interieur. Binnen wacht donkerblauwe bekleding met contrasterende witte piping, donkerblauwe vloerbedekking en een dashboard met wortelnotenhout waarin de ronde klokken centraal staan.
